AMD FSR 4.1 DLL appears on AMD servers ahead of Crimson Desert launch

Users on Reddit have spotted a newer amdxcffx64.dll package on AMD’s official download infrastructure, which points to AMD preparing another update for its FSR stack. The Reddit post claims the file carried version 2.2.0.1328, which would place it above the earlier leaked build marked 2.1.0.968.
AMD’s own download index does show recent activity around that file. The public /dir/bin listing shows the amdxcffx64.dll repository updated on March 11, 2026, while visible subfolders currently host one DLL dated March 2 at 13.8 MB and another dated March 12 at 16.8 MB. That does not confirm an FSR 4.1 launch on its own, but it does confirm AMD has been updating this component on its servers very recently.

As of March 15, AMD still has not posted a public FSR 4.1 release note or a new recommended Radeon driver to go with it. The latest recommended driver on AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT support page remains Adrenalin 26.2.2 , released on February 26, 2026.
AMD’s public software pages show why users are watching this closely. The company introduced support for FSR “Redstone” with Adrenalin 25.12.1, and its current FSR 4 Technical Preview page says AMD is still refining FSR while offering preview support for Radeon RX 9070, RX 9070 XT, and RX 9060 XT graphics cards. This technology is currently exclusively available in one game only (which is quite sad, to be frank).
However, Pearl Abyss says Crimson Desert launches on March 19, 2026 , and its launch FAQ confirms support for FSR 3/4 and AMD FSR Ray Regeneration on PC. AMD is already promoting Crimson Desert on its featured-game page, so the title looks like an obvious showcase candidate for AMD’s next FSR update once the company makes it public.
