RPCS3 update simplifies Steam access for PS3 library
RPCS3 has added native support for creating Steam shortcuts for individual games. The emulator team announced the feature on March 16, confirming that titles can now be added to Steam directly from RPCS3 and launched without going through the main emulator interface.
The change appears to formalize something users previously handled through manual launch arguments, third-party tools, or Steam ROM managers. RPCS3 already supported direct game booting through command-line parameters, but the new option moves that workflow into the emulator itself.

There is one limitation. Restarting Steam is still required before the newly added shortcut appears, according to RPCS3. That means the integration is not live in the sense of instantly refreshing the Steam library, but it still removes several steps from the setup process.
The update matters most for handheld PCs and living-room style setups where users rely on Steam as the main launcher. Adding individual RPCS3 games to Steam makes them easier to access in Big Picture mode, on Steam Deck-like devices, or in mixed libraries that already include native PC titles and games from other launchers.
