Death Stranding 2 detailed for PC

Death Stranding 2 launches on PC on March 19. Kojima Productions also confirmed that the same content additions arriving with the PC release will roll out to the PS5 version on the same day.
The biggest gameplay addition is a new harder difficulty mode called “to the wilder.” It is described as a more punishing challenge with harsher environments and tougher enemies. The update also adds “Trapped in a Strange Realm,” a new VR training area where players can replay Sam’s fights with Neil. New bandanas can be unlocked through this content.
Kojima Productions is also adding new private room interactions with the Chiral Feline, plus new Photo Mode content, including the Chiral Feline itself.

On the technical side, PC gets the largest feature set. Nixxes added support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS , including upscaling and frame generation, uncapped frame rates, graphical settings, 32:9 gameplay support, 21:9 cutscene support, mouse and keyboard controls with key rebinding, full DualSense support, and spatial sound.
PC players with higher-end hardware also get optional ray-traced reflections and ray-traced ambient occlusion. Kojima Productions says these settings are not required for the intended experience and sit above the existing “Very High” preset. PS5 is also getting one display-related change. Standard 21:9 ultrawide support will be added to the PlayStation 5 version.
There are also account-linking rewards. PC players who connect their account get backpack patches and a PlayStation-themed suit. PS5 players will receive PlayStation Connection Bonuses as a game update on PC launch day.
