Intel Arc gets Graphics Shader Distribution Service, 13 games supported at launch

Today, Intel has rolled out its Graphics Shader Distribution Service in the 32.0.101.8626 WHQL Game On driver . Intel says the feature can improve first-load times by up to 2x on Arc B-series graphics cards and on Intel Core Ultra Series 2 and Series 3 processors with integrated Arc graphics. This is the first Intel driver release that names the feature directly in its highlights.

The rollout sits inside Microsoft’s broader Advanced Shader Delivery push. Microsoft first introduced Advanced Shader Delivery in August 2025 as a way to ship precompiled shaders with game downloads instead of forcing a system to compile them on first launch. The company then added formal support for the workflow in Agility SDK 1.618 in September 2025, with the goal of reducing shader compilation stutter and cutting long first-load waits on Windows.

At launch, Intel lists 13 supported games: Black Myth: Wukong, Borderlands 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök, Gotham Knights, Hogwarts Legacy, NBA 2K26, Starfield, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and The Outer Worlds 2. The same driver also adds Game On support for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Everwind.
Introducing Intel Graphics Shader Distribution Service, which will help improve first load times by up to 2x on Intel Arc B-series GPUs, Intel Core Ultra Series 3, and Series 2 with built-in Intel Arc GPUs for the following games:
- Black Myth: Wukong
- Borderlands 4
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
- Cyberpunk 2077
- God of War Ragnarök
- Gotham Knights
- Hogwarts Legacy
- NBA 2K26
- Starfield
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
- The Outer Worlds 2
Intel uses slightly different naming across its own pages. The Arc gaming technologies page calls it Precompiled Shader Distribution and describes a system that downloads pre-optimized files from Intel cloud storage for select games. The new driver notes call the shipping feature Graphics Shader Distribution Service. In practice, the goal is the same: pull hardware-matched compiled shader data ahead of the first launch so supported games spend less time building shaders locally.
