Exclusive: Intel to unveil Arc Pro B70 and B65 “Big Battlemage” cards on March 25, specs confirmed

Intel Arc Pro B70 finally has an embargo date

We can now confirm that Intel has finally set a date for the launch of its BMG-G31 GPU cards. The good news is that they are coming next week. The bad news is that they appear to be limited to workstation systems.

Confirmed specs for “Big” Battlemage

Intel has already contacted the media with the first embargo details for the upcoming Arc Pro B70 and B65 cards. The materials confirm that both cards will ship with 32GB of ECC GDDR6 memory. Intel has also confirmed that the Arc Pro B70 features 32 Xe2 cores , while the B65 will ship with 20 Xe2 cores , the same core count as the B60.

Intel has also confirmed that the Pro B70 has a 160W to 290W board power configuration ( 230W for Intel design ), which is at least 90W higher than the B60. Do note that this is still lower than the B60 Dual, which typically has a 400W board power rating. The Pro B65 has a 200W board power rating, so it is identical to the B60 in that regard. On paper, both cards look similar, although the B65 will ship with a higher memory configuration.

Intel has not yet confirmed exactly when these cards will become available. Apparently, there are also AIB variants coming , so buyers will not be limited to Intel Limited Edition designs.

Looking at the specs, there is a large gap between the B70 and B65. Perhaps Intel is planning something in between, just not for the workstation segment?
