Crimson Desert officially does not support Intel Arc graphics cards, developer tells buyers to seek refunds

Crimson Desert officially does not support Intel Arc graphics cards

In development for 6 years and 4 months, yet that was not enough time to implement one of the most basic features: support for modern GPUs. Perhaps Pearl Abyss does not see 1% market share to be important enough, and they decided not to support it at all.

Developers of Crimson Desert posted one of the clearest PC compatibility notices you will see for a new game launch (but why was this communicated post launch?) In its official Crimson Desert FAQ, the studio says the game “currently does not support Intel Arc graphics cards.” It then tells users who bought the game expecting Arc support to check the refund policy on their store platform.

The FAQ does not mention a support patch, a driver workaround, or a timeline for future compatibility. The official advice, at least right now, is simply to pursue a refund if Arc support was the reason for the purchase.

This also means the issue is not limited to Intel chips with Arc-branded integrated graphics. Pearl Abyss explicitly names Intel Arc graphics cards, which points at Intel’s discrete Arc lineup as well, including products from the Arc A-series and Arc B-series families.

Pearl Abyss is not saying support is partial, experimental, or under validation. It is saying Arc graphics cards are unsupported, and the only official path offered to affected buyers is a refund request through the platform where the game was purchased.
