GeForce RTX 5070 12GB looks real
We return to the RTX 5070 rumor featuring 12GB memory. This model has not been announced by NVIDIA. It would likely require 3GB GDDR7 memory chips to reach 12GB, unless NVIDIA is changing the memory bus in some way. Since the company does not appear to be adding a new class such as SUPER or Ti, it would almost certainly use similar core and bus specs to the existing 8GB model.
So what’s new is that Lenovo PSREF has started listing several 2026 gaming laptop configurations with an “ NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 ” entry. It is no longer just one confusing listing. These entries were spotted by Huang514613, who also claims the related embargo should lift in April, but NVIDIA has not announced an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU SKU with 12GB VRAM yet.

Lenovo PSREF lists multiple Legion Pro 5 configurations with “GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7.” Legion Pro 5 16ADR10 entries such as 83LT008BSP and 83LT008CSP pair that with a 115W TGP and a 1425MHz boost clock. Legion Pro 5 16IRX10 listings also show the same 12GB wording on some models, wit h 115W TGP and a 2347MHz boost clock.
The LOQ lineup (a bit more budget friendly) shows similar entries. LOQ 15IRX10 model 83JE01DFSP and LOQ 17IRX10 model 83JH00FBGM both list “RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7” with 115W TGP and 2347MHz boost clock. PSREF still includes other Legion and LOQ records that list RTX 5070 with 8GB GDDR7, so Lenovo appears to be showing two memory capacities under the RTX 5070 Laptop name.
NVIDIA has not announced 12GB model yet. The leaker claims that the embargo for this SKU lifts in April. We have not heard anything about such plans yet.
