ASRock launches PG27FFS2E lineup with 240Hz, HDR10 and 99% sRGB coverage

ASRock has announced three new Phantom Gaming monitors, the PG27FFS2E, PG27FFS2E-W and PG27FFS1A. All three are 27-inch Full HD models with flat IPS panels, a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT response time and AMD FreeSync Premium support. ASRock says the PG27FFS2E-W is the first white model in this series, while the other two use a black finish.

The core display specs are the same across the lineup. ASRock lists 1920 x 1080 resolution, 99% sRGB coverage, 350 nits typical brightness, HDR10 support, anti-glare coating and 178-degree viewing angles. Connectivity is also unchanged, with two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2 output, a headphone jack and built-in 2W speakers.

The main split is in the design. PG27FFS2E (Black model) and PG27FFS2E-W (White model) include height adjustment up to 130 mm, 360-degree swivel, tilt, and full pivot support from -90 to 90 degrees. PG27FFS1A is the simpler model, with tilt and swivel only, no height adjustment, and no pivot mode.

ASRock is also shipping the usual gaming-focused monitor controls and image options. The company lists a 5-way joystick for OSD control, Dark Boost, Overdrive, flicker-free operation and low blue light mode. This places the new series in the mainstream esports segment, where 1080p and high refresh rates still target players who prioritize refresh rate over panel resolution.

The same announcement also mentions two Challenger series models, CL25FFB and CL27FFB, as lower-tier 144Hz Full HD options. ASRock did not include pricing in the launch announcement, and the product pages state that regional availability may vary.
