AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is supposed by ASRock motherboards
Did AMD forget to launch it?
What is even happening here? I was doing my usual bookmark check and decided to look for Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 updates, the dual 3D V-Cache SKU that AMD has never officially confirmed, even though everyone already knows it exists. AMD did not announce this SKU at CES, which was surprising. After nearly three months without any updates, it was starting to look like it might not launch at all.
It turns out it may have already been announced, at least if ASRock’s official website is to be believed. I found a press release on the site, and it seems like it was either published under the wrong date or was not meant to go live at all. The release says ASRock has added support for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, but it does not mention any specifications. How did no one notice this until now? I have no clue.

The company only says that the CPU is supported with BIOS 4.03 across its motherboard lineup. That would also suggest this supposed 200W SKU is supported on A620 motherboards too, which sounds questionable.
Unfortunately, I could not find any other information. The CPU does not appear on the official CPU support lists for the relevant motherboard pages, which makes this a strange press release.
Unofficially, Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 has 16 Zen5 cores and both chiplets have 3D V-Cache memory. This would be AMD’s first consumer CPU with 192MB of cache and supposedly with 200W TDP. None of this is confirmed, mind you.
