MINISFORUM MS-A2 gets Ryzen 9 8945HX, pricing starts at $599

MINISFORUM has updated its MS-A2 mini workstation with a new AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX option . The system was already available with Ryzen 7 7745HX, Ryzen 9 7945HX, and Ryzen 9 9955HX processors, so the 8945HX now fills the gap between the existing Zen 4 and Zen 5 variants.

The new configuration is listed at $599 in barebones form. That places it above the Ryzen 9 7945HX model at $559 and below the Ryzen 9 9955HX at $799. The entry-level Ryzen 7 7745HX version remains at $439, but this is not a newly added SKU.

The Ryzen 9 8945HX does not change much about the platform itself. It is another 16-core, 32-thread Dragon Range part, and its placement suggests MINISFORUM is adding one more pricing tier rather than introducing a new class of hardware.

The system still offers dual 10G SFP+ ports, dual 2.5GbE, three M.2 slots for storage, and a physical PCIe x16 slot wired for PCIe 4.0 x8. MINISFORUM also continues to position it as a compact workstation or networking box rather than a standard mini PC.

So the actual update here is simple. MINISFORUM has added the Ryzen 9 8945HX configuration to the MS-A2 lineup, while the Ryzen 7 7745HX was already part of the range before this refresh.
