Intel Arc Pro B70 “Big Battlemage” workstation card pictured

Arc Pro B70 reference by Intel

No, this is not the only version of Arc Pro B70 that will reach the market. This is Intel’s branded card, or simply a reference design with its own specifications. As we already revealed, Intel will allow partners to adjust board power from 160W to 290W. This particular design has a 230W board power setting.

As we can see, the reference B70 uses a blower-style design, matching the B60 and B50 models. It appears to be larger than B60, but we do not have the exact dimensions. What we can confirm is that it is a PCIe 5.0 x16 design and it features a single 8-pin power connector. Given that Intel will allow up to 290W designs, some board partners will likely adopt the 12V-2×6 connector later.

The Arc Pro B70 is based on the BMG-G31 GPU, also known as Big Battlemage. This GPU was long rumored to be coming to the gaming market, and so far there is still no confirmation on that. However, Intel is planning two models, B70 and B65, with a relatively large specification gap between them.

The B70 has 32GB of GDDR6 ECC memory and is designed for workstations, not gaming. However, as we know, Intel offers Arc Pro Battlemage support through its Arc GPU drivers, so technically nothing should stop users from buying and using this card for gaming as well.
