Thermal Grizzly Mycro Pro RGB now available, starts at €139.90

Thermal Grizzly has introduced its new Mycro Pro RGB CPU water blocks for AMD and Intel platforms. The new lineup includes the AM5 Mycro Pro RGB and Intel 1851 Mycro Pro RGB, both using the same overall design as the company’s Mycro direct-die coolers.
The blocks use a nickel-plated copper cold plate, tempered acrylic glass, an acrylic jet plate, and an anodized aluminum cover. Thermal Grizzly says the cold plate uses 0.2 mm slot and fin widths, with 68 microfins on the AMD version and 70 on the Intel model. The inlet and outlet ports use standard G1/4 threads.

One of the main changes is an integrated fine-mesh filter placed at the inlet. According to Thermal Grizzly, the filter is designed to catch particles from the loop, including radiator residue, before they reach the microfin structure. The company says this helps delay clogging and keeps coolant flow from dropping over time, and the filter can be cleaned when needed.
Thermal Grizzly also shared internal test data for both models. In the company’s test system, the Intel 1851 Mycro Pro RGB ran an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K at a fixed 260 W load and recorded an average temperature of 38.9°C. The AM5 version was tested with a Ryzen 9 9900X at 230 W and reached 77.1°C. As usual, those numbers come from the manufacturer’s own setup and are not directly comparable to third-party testing.

The AM5 block is also compatible with AM4, while the Intel 1851 version supports LGA1700 as well. Thermal Grizzly says the AM5 model is not compatible with the AM5 High Performance Heatspreader, but the Intel block can be used with the company’s LGA1700 heatspreader.
Pricing is set at €139.90 for the AMD model and €144.90 for the Intel version.
