G.SKILL showcases DDR5-10000 memory speed on Core Ultra 7 270K Plus

G.SKILL says existing DDR5 kits are now Intel XMP 3.0 Ready for Core Ultra 200S Plus

G.SKILL has announced that both existing and upcoming DDR5 memory kits are now confirmed as Intel XMP 3.0 Ready for Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus series processors and compatible Z890 motherboards. The update applies to both DDR5 U-DIMM and CU-DIMM kits, with the company saying users can enable the validated profile directly in BIOS to reach the rated overclock settings.

The company also says it can now use Intel’s official XMP Identifier logo on qualifying products. Intel describes XMP-certified modules as kits that follow its XMP specification, pass vendor validation, and are listed in the Intel XMP memory datasheet, which was updated on March 20.

G.SKILL is also tying part of this announcement to Intel 200S Boost compatibility. According to both Intel and G.SKILL, 200S Boost is an overclocking profile for unlocked Core Ultra 200S desktop processors on compatible Z890 motherboards, and validated memory for that program is limited to Intel XMP 3.0 kits rated up to DDR5-8000 at no more than 1.4V. G.SKILL already published a support list for Intel 200S Boost last year, so this week’s announcement appears to extend that validation to the newer Core Ultra 200S Plus platform branding.

For its performance example, G.SKILL showed a Memtest validation run at DDR5-10000 using an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 APEX motherboard and Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor. That figure is a manual validation result rather than a new rated speed for retail kits, but it shows the kind of headroom memory vendors are targeting on Intel’s refreshed desktop platform.
