ASRock reveals Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary Edition motherboard

ASRock Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary appears with new styling

ASRock has shown a Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary motherboard, a model that appears to celebrate ten years of the Taichi brand. ASRock’s own anniversary timeline confirms the first Taichi motherboard was the X99 Taichi, introduced in 2016.

Based on the show-floor photo, the anniversary model changes the visual design rather than the platform itself. The heatsinks use a new silver, black, and gold treatment, while the PCB layout, slot placement, DIMM configuration, and shield arrangement look effectively the same as the regular Z890 Taichi.

Spec sheets confirm Intel Core Ultra Series 2 support on LGA1851, a 20+1+2+1+1 power design with 110A SPS, four DDR5 slots with speeds up to DDR5-9600+ OC, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, one HDMI output, and two Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 Type-C ports. Those are the same headline specifications ASRock lists for the standard Z890 Taichi.

That makes this look like a special-edition cosmetic variant of the existing board rather than a redesigned flagship. The mirrored M.2 cover and the updated I/O shroud give it a more commemorative look, but there is no clear sign of a changed PCB or a different feature set from what ASRock already ships on the Z890 Taichi.

At the time of writing, ASRock’s motherboard lineup still lists the regular Z890 Taichi and not a separate product page for the 10th Anniversary version. ASRock tends to launch many limited edition models, many of which are never sold, but given to reviewers for showcase. Hopefully that won’t be the case here.
