NVIDIA posts new 596.02 hotfix driver for Windows 10 and 11

NVIDIA has now published the support note for GeForce Hotfix Display Driver 596.02, confirming that the release is based on the latest GeForce 595.97 WHQL driver. The package is available for desktop and notebook GPUs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11, and it is distributed through NVIDIA’s customer support site rather than the standard driver page.
The changelog is limited to a single fix. According to NVIDIA, Hotfix 596.02 addresses stutter observed during gameplay in Arknights: Endfield.
GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 596.02 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 595.97.
This hotfix addresses the following
- [Arknights: Endfield] Stutter may be observed in during gameplay [5950402]
NVIDIA only released GeForce 595.97 WHQL just yesterday, and Hotfix 596.02 followed just one day later. NVIDIA describes hotfix drivers as optional beta releases with a shorter QA cycle, meant to push out a small number of urgent fixes before they are rolled into the next full WHQL package.
Before 596.02, the company released NVIDIA App Hotfix 11.0.6.386 in February, followed by GeForce Hotfix 595.76 on March 4. Remember that if the hotfix does not address issues you are directly affected by, it is advised to wait for the new Game Ready release.
