Today, developer Hotta Studio (the same one behind Tower of Fantasy) and publisher Perfect World Games have announced the global launch date for Neverness to Everness . The free-to-play game will debut on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android on April 29, 2026 .
Starting today, players can prepare for their journey into Hethereau by participating in the " Hethereau Residents Guide " , offering a chance to win exclusive in-game items and even real-world prizes, including PlayStation 5 consoles (which would be a nice get, especially if the rumored price hike turns out to be true). By completing missions, inviting friends, and logging into their PWG accounts, participants can earn:
- In-game rewards: "Fabricated Dice x1", "A-Class Arc: The Forgotten.", “Fons x3,000”, “Beetle Coin x6,000”, “Senior Hunter Guide x3”, and “Colorless Dye x3”
- Physical prizes: Lucky winners can walk away with an Amazon Gift Card (from $10 to $50) or a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.
Hotta also shared a new character trailer dedicated to Jiuyuan , Sperry Express's top courier. Although she seems to be a calm and diligent shopkeeper on the surface, Jiuyuan is actually a master informant with razor-sharp intuition, moving with ease among the city's various factions.
Announced nearly two years ago , Neverness to Everness takes place in Hethereau, a sprawling neon-lit urban metropolis where supernatural phenomena called Anomalies coexist with everyday city life. Players take the role of an Appraiser operating out of Eibon, a rundown antique shop that takes on paranormal cases ; essentially, the city's unlicensed ghostbusters. Anomalies range from minor disturbances to outright dangerous entities, and unraveling their origins gradually exposes a deeper conspiracy beneath the city's surface. The tone blends contemporary urban aesthetics with the surreal.
Traversal across the city includes the ability to drive fully customizable vehicles (hence the moniker ' anime GTA ', but players can also run, climb, wall-run, swim, and glide. Combat is real-time action and features a controllable team of up to four characters , with players able to swap between them mid-fight to chain Esper abilities. An Esper Cycle system triggers elemental synergies when abilities are used in sequence, similar to Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves. Enemies have a stagger bar that, when filled, puts them in a vulnerable state . A parry system and dodge-counter mechanics were added based on beta feedback.
Beyond missions, players can also dedicate themselves to a series of life skills , such as buying and decorating homes, managing shops, racing vehicles, playing mahjong, and more. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 , the game will support NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation , path tracing, and is also among the very first titles listed for NVIDIA DLSS 5 , which should launch in Fall 2026 .
