Dell unveils Pro 5 Micro, Panther Lake mini desktop PC set to launch March 31

Dell Pro 5 Micro Mini-PC announced

Dell has introduced the Pro 5 Micro, a new ultra-compact business desktop that joins its refreshed commercial PC lineup. The company says this is its first mainstream desktop with Copilot+ PC branding (great timing I guess), and it is scheduled to launch in the US on March 31 . Dell is positioning the system as a space-saving desktop for offices that still want local AI acceleration.

The company confirmed a few key hardware details in its press release. Pro 5 Micro uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, which means Panther Lake . Dell also says the desktop supports memory speeds of up to 7200 MT/s, which should make it one of the faster small-form-factor business systems in this class.

One of the more unusual features is power delivery over USB Type-C. Dell lists both a 90 W barrel adapter and a 100 W USB Type-C adapter for the Pro 5 Micro, which means the system can be powered through USB-C instead of a separate barrel connector. That should help reduce cable clutter in office setups, especially when paired with compatible monitors or docks.

Dell still has not disclosed pricing, but its spec sheet now confirms the main hardware options. The Pro 5 Micro will be offered with Intel Core Ultra 7 366H vPro , a 16-core chip rated for up to 4.80 GHz with a 50 TOPS NPU, or Intel Core Ultra 5 335 vPro , an 8-core chip rated for up to 4.60 GHz with a 47 TOPS NPU.

Memory options go up to 64 GB DDR5. The Core Ultra 7 version supports 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB configurations at 5600 MT/s, 6400 MT/s, or up to 7200 MT/s depending on the DIMM layout, while the Core Ultra 5 version supports up to 64 GB at 5600 MT/s or 6400 MT/s.
