AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT back to effective $699

As of today several Radeon RX 9070 XT custom cards are back at an effective $699 in the US . Newegg currently lists ASRock’s Challenger at $729.99 with promo code SUSF2668, GIGABYTE’s Gaming OC at $739.99 with promo code SUSF2669, and SAPPHIRE’s PULSE at $769.99 with promo code SUSF2667. Amazon also shows the SAPPHIRE PULSE at $769.99 with a $70 coupon, which brings it to the same effective price.
This means buyers now have multiple RX 9070 XT options at that price point, mind you, it’s still $100 over what AMD promised was the official MSRP. All three Newegg listings are marked as the lowest price in 30 days, which suggests this is a fresh round of discounts rather than older pricing simply reappearing.
Newegg bundle offers
In the offers attached here, the $699 point is also paired with extras instead of a straight card-only cut. Depending on the listing, buyers can get an ASRock AIO PRO 360, a Team Group T-FORCE G50 512GB SSD, or a Rosewill VMG 750W 80+ Gold PSU . These listings also include AMD’s Crimson Desert game bundle.
All four deals land at the same effective GPU price, so the difference now comes down to board design and extras. GIGABYTE’s listing advertises a 3060 MHz boost clock, while ASRock’s Challenger and SAPPHIRE’s PULSE are both listed at up to 2970 MHz. All three Newegg cards use 16GB GDDR6 on a 256-bit bus and 4096 stream processors.
This is still not a great deal, but it is better than what we have seen over the past couple of months. Buyers who resell the bundled game or extra hardware may end up below MSRP in effective cost. Just why does AMD force gamers to go through all this hassle?
