AYANEO warns several Android handhelds may be ‘temporarily discontinued’, two Windows handhelds affected as well

Android handhelds
AYANEO is preparing price increases across parts of its handheld lineup and says some models may be “temporarily discontinued” once current inventory runs out. This update affects several of the company’s Android-based devices, not just the much more expensive Windows-powered NEXT 2 that had its pre-orders suspended earlier this week.
According to the latest update cited by Retro Handhelds, Pocket VERT and Pocket S Mini are now down to limited stock, while Pocket DS is still in pre-order with only around 200 units left in the current batch. AYANEO also says future production of Pocket DS remains uncertain once that batch sells out.
Due to the recent increase in storage component costs, prices across many AYANEO products will be rising soon . At the same time, some models may be temporarily discontinued once current inventory sells out.
- Pocket VERT and Pocket S Mini — Only limited stock remains. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Pocket DS — Currently in pre-order, with only around 200 units available in this batch. Future production remains uncertain once sold out.
- Pocket FIT G3 Gen 3 and Pocket FIT 8 Elite — These models will be relaunched in phases after the current Pocket FIT 8Elite shipments are completed.
- KONKR FIT — If you haven’t placed your order yet, now is the time. Production will be limited and based on actual order volume.
- The Pocket S Mini promotion (Free Pocket AIR Mini) will officially end on April 1st . There are only 4 days remaining to take advantage of this offer—don’t miss your chance to get the bonus while it lasts.
The company is not treating every model the same way. AYANEO says Pocket FIT G3 Gen 3 and Pocket FIT 8 Elite will return in phases after current Pocket FIT 8 Elite shipments are completed. KONKR FIT, another lower-cost model, will be produced in limited quantities based on actual order volume.
Windows handhelds affected: Pocket FIT and NEXT 2
AYANEO’s KONKR FIT, the Windows handheld based on AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 , is also being pushed into limited production as storage prices continue to rise. The company says output will depend on actual order volume, which means KONKR FIT has joined NEXT 2 as the second Windows handheld in AYANEO’s lineup to be affected by the current storage cost surge.

Unlike the NEXT 2, which AYANEO paused because the overall product cost had moved far above its selling price. So these new warnings mostly hit more affordable Android handhelds not just super overpriced Strix Halo systems. It’s a real shame Konkr Fit is also affected, it represented the high-end Windows handheld segment powered by Gorgon Point APU (Zen5/RDNA3.5), so the competition to ROG Xbox Ally and such.
