Following the release of the earlier this year, Apple today rolled out the first firmware update for its tracker.
As spotted by , firmware version 3.0.45 is rolling out, replacing version 3.0.41, which shipped with the device. Here’s Apple’s to check your firmware version:
- Open the Find My app.
- Tap the Items tab.
- Select your AirTag in the list of items.
- Tap the name of your AirTag, and the serial number and firmware version will appear.
As a reminder, Apple currently doesn’t offer a way to install the update manually.
Apple hasn’t yet shared the of the new firmware for . However, given that this is the first update since the launch of the device, it is likely that it fixes bugs the company identified after users started using the tracker in real-world situations, and adds a few performance improvements.
