NVIDIA App 11.0.7.228 adds DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and Auto Shader Compilation beta

NVIDIA has released App v11.0.7.228, the beta update that delivers DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation through the NVIDIA App. The release also brings fixed 5X and 6X Multi Frame Generation modes for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, while the new Frame Generation model update also extends to GeForce RTX 40 Series cards in supported games. NVIDIA says users need GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.97 WHQL or newer, and the beta and experimental features option enabled inside the app. This is also the software release tied to NVIDIA’s DLSS 4.5 and Auto Shader Compilation announcements we covered separately.
The main addition is Dynamic Multi Frame Generation , which lets the app adjust the multiplier in real time instead of locking it to a fixed value. NVIDIA says users can target either the display’s maximum refresh rate or a custom value set in the app. The company also says the updated model improves static user interface elements by using extra engine data in supported titles, and that Preset B is available for selected games on both RTX 40 and RTX 50 hardware.

NVIDIA also added Auto Shader Compilation as a beta feature. According to the company, it rebuilds DirectX 12 shaders after a driver update while the system is idle, or on demand, to reduce the amount of shader work left for game launch. NVIDIA notes that first-time shader generation after a fresh game install still happens in-game. The update also starts moving Custom Resolution controls into the NVIDIA App, replacing another part of the old Control Panel workflow.
The release notes list new DLSS override support for Arknights: Endfield, Crimson Desert, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH, Marathon, Resident Evil Requiem, Nioh 3, and several other upcoming titles. The same notes also list new Optimal Settings profiles for Arknights: Endfield, Ashes of Creation, Highguard, StarRupture, and The Last Caretaker, alongside several overlay, display, graphics, and installation fixes.
