
Apple issued a rare price drop on an existing product with the VESA mount adapter version of the . It turns out customers who already spent the full original price are due for a refund.
Since publishing our story this morning, multiple readers have flagged that Apple is issuing a refund for the difference.
In the US, there’s a $400 gap in price between the VESA mount adapter version and tilt- and height-adjustable stand version.
The lack of a price difference was especially notable when the new display was announced.
That’s because Apple sold the now-discontinued Pro Display XDR for a base price, and charged a hefty premium for the stand.
The only catch for VESA mount adapter version customers?
You’ll need to ask Apple to refund the difference. It’s not automatic.
Still, it’s a nice gesture for early customers, and the price difference is much more fair going forward.
