Red Magic 11 Golden Saga Edition runs PC games at 50 to 60 FPS through Android emulation

A new video demonstration from ETA Prime shows the Red Magic 11 Golden Saga Edition running several Windows PC games locally on Android through emulation. Everything is running on the phone itself through GameHub, using the device’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and 24GB of LPDDR5T memory.
The Golden Saga Edition is presented as an upgraded version of the regular Red Magic 11 Pro. According to the video, it adds 24GB RAM, 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, a more advanced cooling setup, and premium thermal materials including a gold-plated vapor chamber and silver in the heat transfer system. The phone also features an active cooling fan, a 6.85-inch 144Hz BOE AMOLED display, Wi-Fi 7, and a 7,500 mAh battery.

Performance figures in the demo were recorded mostly in the phone’s higher performance modes, with a 60 FPS limiter enabled in some titles. The phone has several modes, including Eco, Balanced, Rise and even Diablo modes. The latter offers the highest performance but runs hot even with such an advanced cooling system on a phone.
Red Dead Redemption 2 reportedly ran in the high 40 FPS range on average, with indoor scenes reaching 60 FPS. The creator says the game was tested at high textures with the rest of the settings on low, and with FSR disabled. Some lighter or better-suited games ran faster. Project Cars 2 was shown running at or above 60 FPS at 720p using medium settings. Grand Theft Auto V reportedly reached up to 100 FPS indoors and stayed in the mid-60s while driving around the city. Cyberpunk 2077 was shown running above 60 FPS at 720p low with FSR frame generation enabled, while the creator says a 30 FPS lock is possible without frame generation.

The demo also highlights the limits of current Android PC emulation. Ghost of Tsushima reportedly did not benefit from FSR frame generation in this setup, and one Resident Evil title showed major rendering errors with missing walls despite running above 60 FPS.
ETA Prime shows that some games push the phone to 30W to 40W or more, which puts it firmly in gaming handheld territory at this point. Even so, seeing real-time x86-to-Android emulation run modern PC games on a phone is still wild.
And by the way, this phone costs €1500 , so if you are into PC gaming, perhaps buying a full gaming PC makes more sense in this price range. Well, at least it’s still cheaper than the Legion Go 2 .
