There were some early Internet listings that suggested the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 price could be around $990~1000 USD, but the official suggested price from AMD was announced today below that mark.
AMD's David McAfee posted on X minutes ago that the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition should be priced at $899 USD.
With the Ryzen 9 9950X3D being priced at around $699 USD, the $899 price may be justified for those with workloads that benefit from the extra cache. Certainly easier to justify than if pushing $1k USD.
It will be very interesting to see how the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 performs under a range of Linux workloads with many software packages enjoying the extra cache as shown in prior 3D V-Cache Ryzen and EPYC -X CPU benchmarks on Phoronix.
The Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition goes on sale 22 April.
