© Solaris17/TPU One of the first public teardowns of Intel’s Arc Pro B70 has appeared on TechPowerUp Forums. The card was taken apart by TechPowerUp moderator Solaris17, giving us an early look at the reference board and cooler layout. The teardown stops short of removing the heatsink, so there is still no direct photo of the BMG-G31 package itself.
The post shows that Intel’s reference Arc Pro B70 uses a blower-style cooler rather than a blow-through layout. Solaris17 says the heatsink does not extend all the way to the rear of the shroud, and the card exhausts through the I/O bracket. The power lead is also soldered directly to the PCB, which is common on workstation and accelerator designs.

The post includes an original vBIOS dump and a log from Intel’s ARC Firmware Tool. According to that log, the card is identified as device ID E223 , and the hardware SKU is listed as SOC4 with A0 stepping . Public PCI device databases already associate E223 with Battlemage G31 and the Arc Pro B70, so that part lines up with what Intel has disclosed so far.

Well, until someone removes the cooler, we still do not have a direct image of Intel’s BMG-G31 silicon or the package layout around it. For now, this is the closest public look at the board design behind Intel’s Big Battlemage workstation card.







Intel officially lists Arc Pro B70 with 32 Xe-cores, 32GB of GDDR6 memory, 608 GB/s bandwidth, and a total board power range of 160W to 290W. Intel’s own branded card is rated at 230W. This card costs $950, so it’s understandable why some users are reluctant to take the cooler off, but if someone takes a photo, I think GPU enthusiasts would greatly appreciate it.
