DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Frame Generation leaves beta, now available in stable NVIDIA App

NVIDIA App Stable Release Adds DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Frame Generation Overrides

NVIDIA has moved its DLSS 4.5 app-side overrides out of beta. The company says the latest NVIDIA App update now brings the full DLSS 4.5 override set to all users, after first offering the feature set through an opt-in beta release last week.

NVIDIA says users can enable it globally or per game in the Graphics tab, then choose either a maximum refresh-rate target or a custom frame-rate target. The company also says Dynamic mode is currently not compatible with frame-rate limiters and V-Sync.

NVIDIA is also rolling out 5X and 6X Multi Frame Generation options through the app. According to the company, compatible titles can scale up to 6X, while GeForce RTX 50 Series cards can see up to 35% higher 4K performance in path-traced games when moving from 4X to 6X Multi Frame Generation.

The update includes a new Frame Generation model for GeForce RTX 40 Series and RTX 50 Series GPUs. NVIDIA says this model uses additional engine data in supported titles to improve the clarity of mini-maps, static interface elements, and other UI components while Frame Generation features are active.

This release also continues NVIDIA’s push for app-level DLSS updates instead of waiting for native game patches. In its latest game update coverage, NVIDIA says titles such as Samson and Dawn of Defiance can already use the app to upgrade supported DLSS features, including newer Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation options.

If you were using a beta release of App, opt out and simply relaunch the app to install the update.
