Crimson Desert now runs on Arc B580 with Intel’s new driver, but FSR can break the game

Just don’t use FSR

Crimson Desert has started running on at least some Intel Arc B580 systems with Intel’s latest 32.0.101.8629 driver. That is a change from launch week, when Pearl Abyss said the game did not support Intel Arc and told affected buyers to seek refunds. We also covered Intel’s reply at the time , where the company said it had offered Pearl Abyss hardware, drivers, and engineering support for years, but the game still shipped without Arc support.

Pearl Abyss later changed its FAQ. The developer now says it is working on compatibility and optimization support for Intel Arc GPUs, and it apologized for the earlier wording. That was the first clear sign that the original stance had changed, even if official support is still not in place yet.

New user reports from Reddit now suggest Battlemage cards are at least partially past the launch block. One B580 owner said the game runs at around 60 FPS on Ultra , and around 55 FPS at 2560×1440, without any upscaling enabled. Other users in the same thread say the game now launches on B580, but visual issues remain, including broken character faces, missing limbs, and other rendering faults.

Multiple users say enabling FSR can crash the game , and in some cases it will no longer launch until the config file is deleted or reset. Reports for older Arc cards also remain weak. In the same thread, at least one Arc A770 owner said the latest driver still could not get past the game’s driver version warning.

What makes this more interesting is that Intel never listed Crimson Desert in the 32.0.101.8629 release notes . Intel only says the driver adds gaming support for Arc Pro B70 and B65, with no mention of Pearl Abyss’ game anywhere in the highlights or known issues.
