ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 arrives with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and Ryzen AI PRO 400

Lenovo Japan has announced the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7, a 13.3-inch business laptop that starts at 936 g in its lightest configuration. The company lists it as the lightest current ThinkPad in the lineup, and it will be offered with optional 4G LTE or 5G connectivity.
The new model will be available with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors or AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series processors. Lenovo’s product page also lists two battery options, 41 Wh and 54.7 Wh, alongside a 13.3-inch 16:10 display.

Lenovo says the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 is scheduled to launch in Japan from mid-May 2026, while AMD versions are due from late May (makes you wonder why since it’s just a SoC refresh). The company has not published pricing yet and says models without a listed price will get one at launch.
The announcement focuses on portability, durability and connectivity rather than a full redesign. Lenovo also highlights built-in cellular options across the wider 2026 ThinkPad lineup, while the X13 remains part of the group that supports one-hand opening.
Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad X13 Gen 6 at MWC 2025 with a starting weight of 0.933 kg and the same 41 Wh or 54.7 Wh battery options. Based on Lenovo’s own materials, Gen7 is mostly about the platform refresh with new CPU variants.
