ASUS PG32UCDM3 packaging complaints push Newegg to add extra protection

Following the reports on ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 monitor issues , Newegg now appears to be compensating for it on at least some deliveries. A new Reddit thread shows buyers receiving the 31.5-inch 4K 240Hz Tandem QD-OLED monitor with added corner posts, extra corrugate, and other outer reinforcement. That is a visible change from earlier buyer reports, which described units arriving in the retail carton with little or no added shipping protection.
This follows a growing number of recent user complaints around damaged panels on arrival. Several Reddit posts describe cracked or bent panels, damage in the lower-right section of the display, and packaging that buyers called unusually thin for a monitor in this price class. One post said the unit felt “weirdly unprotected” compared with earlier ASUS releases, while another buyer said they were opting for a refund after receiving another damaged unit from Newegg.

The concern is not just that the box looks light. One in-depth user post said the molded cardboard insert includes a lower cutout near where the panel sits, leaving the outer carton and wrapper to absorb much of the impact during shipping.
In replies, Newegg tagged an ASUS marketing contact and asked one Canadian buyer to send photos showing how the monitor arrived.
