Philips launches Evnia 27M2G5800, a 27-inch 5K dual-mode monitor with up to 330Hz

Philips Evnia 27M2G5800 offers 5K 165Hz and QHD 330Hz on a 27-inch panel

Philips has introduced the Evnia 27M2G5800, a 27-inch Fast IPS gaming monitor with a dual-mode setup that switches between 5120 × 2880 at 165Hz and 2560 × 1440 at 330Hz . Philips lists both modes over HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1, with the product page also noting a 5K overclock range up to 180Hz.

The monitor uses a 27-inch panel with a 217.57 PPI pixel density, 500 nits brightness, 1 ms GtG response time, and 0.5 ms Smart MBR. Philips also lists VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification , Adaptive Sync, and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support.

On the color side, Philips says the panel covers 98% DCI-P3, 95% Adobe RGB, 137% sRGB, and 111% NTSC. The display is rated for 1.07 billion colors, though the spec sheet notes 8-bit + FRC operation, with 8-bit support at 5K 180Hz or QHD 330Hz, and 10-bit support at 5K 144Hz or QHD 288Hz.

Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1 input, headphone out, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with one USB-B upstream and two USB-A downstream ports. Philips also includes its usual gaming features such as Smart Crosshair, Smart Sniper, Stark ShadowBoost, and low input lag mode.

This is not Philips’ first dual-mode monitor, but it does push the concept into a denser 5K format rather than focusing only on refresh rate. The company is positioning the screen as a mix of creator and competitive gaming display, offering a sharp 5K mode for desktop work and a 330Hz QHD mode for esports use. Philips has already published the full product page, but pricing and regional availability were not listed in the official specs page I checked.
