Crimson Desert adds official Intel Arc GPU support and XeSS 3 latest patch

Crimson Desert launched on March 19 without working support for Intel Arc GPUs, and Pearl Abyss initially told affected users that Arc systems were not supported. The wording quickly turned into a bigger story after Intel pushed back , saying it had tried to help the studio with support efforts well before launch. Pearl Abyss later revised its FAQ, apologized for the confusion, and said Arc compatibility and optimization were being worked on.
Since then, Intel has not released a game-specific Crimson Desert optimization in its public driver notes, but Arc users started reporting that newer drivers at least made the game launch.
Patch 1.03 with official Intel support and even XeSS3
Now, Patch 1.03.00 adds official Intel Arc GPU support on PC, just 23 days after launch. Pearl Abyss also added Intel XeSS 3.0 as an upscale option and a separate Intel XeSS Frame Generation toggle. That is still a relatively rare feature set, since XeSS Frame Generation support has not yet become common across PC releases.
© Pearl Abyss Pearl Abyss says compatibility and performance across various Intel GPUs will continue to improve over time, and it already lists known issues for Arc A-series cards. According to both the patch notes and the updated known issues page, Arc A-series users may see broken image output with XeSS 3.0 or XeSS Frame Generation enabled, A770 owners can still hit crashes when using XeSS, and A750 users may still crash in Hernand city.
Outside of the Intel changes, the GPU-related part of Patch 1.03.00 also adds AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 , new Displacement Scale and Detail Decorative Mesh graphics options, and a fix for noise in screen distortion effects when using DLSS Ray Reconstruction. Console users also get new video options, including Enhanced Raytracing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, plus a PSSR Sharpness setting on PlayStation 5 Pro.
