Brad Lynch said on X that Valve received its first “large quantity” imports of a “ Wireless PC Controller ” in the US last week. The post lines up with Valve’s already announced 2026 Steam Controller plan, but Lynch did not include the source in his post, so we found it ourselves.

One listing shows a shipment described as “WIRELESS PC CONTROLLER” for Valve Corporation from Cheng Uei Precision Ind. Co Ltd, arriving on April 4, 2026 from Hong Kong. The public record does not reveal how many controllers were inside. It lists 40 packages and a gross weight of 12,970 kg, so the exact unit count remains unknown.

Valve announced in November that a new Steam Controller is part of its 2026 hardware lineup, and the company repeated that message again in its 2025 Year in Review post. This shipment does not confirm a launch date, pricing, or final specifications, but it does suggest that the controller has entered a later stage of distribution.

Unlike Steam Machine and Stream Frame, the Controller could launch at any moment because it is not directly affected by memory and storage pricing as much as these systems.
