MSI presents its 2026 gaming laptop lineup, Raider Max with up to 290HX Plus and RTX 5090 supports up to 300W TDP

MSI Raider 16 Max reaches 300W, Crosshair 16 Max targets 200W with RTX 50 laptop GPUs

MSI has introduced updated Raider and Crosshair gaming laptops for 2026, built around Intel Core Ultra 200HX Plus processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. The new 16-inch lineup is led by the Raider 16 Max, which MSI rates for up to 300W combined CPU and GPU power. The Crosshair 16 Max is positioned lower, with up to 200W combined power in a thinner chassis. MSI had already previewed the redesigned Raider, Stealth, and Crosshair families at CES 2026, and this April update adds the full product breakdown.

The Raider 16 Max sits at the top of the new 16-inch stack. MSI lists configurations with Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus or 275HX processors, paired with GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU 24GB or RTX 5080 Laptop GPU 16GB. The system uses a new Cooler Boost Trinity+ design with up to three fans, six heat pipes, and five exhaust vents. MSI also says the chassis was redesigned to fit larger fans while keeping rear I/O, and the machine supports a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED panel at 240Hz with DisplayHDR True Black 1000.

Below that, the standard Raider 16 drops to RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti options, while keeping the 16-inch QHD+ form factor, dual M.2 slots, SD Express reader, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. Crosshair 16 Max uses Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, 275HX, or Ultra 7 251HX processors with GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU 12GB, plus a 2560 x 1600 OLED panel at 165Hz. MSI says the chassis is 21.9 mm thick and up to 14.3% thinner than the previous generation. It also moves HDMI and RJ-45 to the rear and includes one Thunderbolt 4 port, one additional USB-C port, and three USB-A ports.

MSI also updated its 18-inch lineup. The Titan 18 HX A2W uses Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU 24GB, paired with an 18-inch 3840 x 2400 Mini LED panel at 240Hz. Raider 18 Max HX comes in RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 variants with an 18-inch Mini LED panel at 120Hz, while Stealth 18 HX is offered with up to RTX 5080 or RTX 5070 Ti graphics. MSI says these larger systems can deliver up to 220W to the CPU on supported models, and Titan 18 carries a 99.9Wh battery plus a 400W adapter.

At the entry end, MSI has refreshed the Cyborg 15 series. The Cyborg 15 Max uses Intel Core 7 240H and GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU 8GB, with up to 100W TGP and 130W total system power according to MSI. It keeps a 15.6-inch 1080p 144Hz panel with 100% sRGB coverage, supports two PCIe Gen4 M.2 slots, and weighs 2 kg in a 21 mm to 22.9 mm chassis. MSI also lists RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 versions under the standard Cyborg 15 models.
