HWiNFO 8.46 updates Blackwell support, improves detection for future AMD CPUs and APUs
HWiNFO 8.46 is now available, and this update is mostly about rounding out support for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 series and adding another generic reference to future AMD processors.

NVIDIA: RTX 50 updates
In earlier versions, HWiNFO received several Blackwell-related monitoring changes, such as PCIe error counter support, ReBAR fixes, VRM monitoring on some partner cards, and earlier GPU power limit reporting. The newest version seems to focus on ‘maximum and rated GPU’ power limits for RTX 50 series. Additionally, users who stumble upon RTX 5060 equipped with non-standard GB205 GPU will also see correct information now. I have not seen this SKU out in the wild yet, but this is likely based on the latest driver IDs which introduced such a SKU.

Next-gen AMD CPU/APU Support
The AMD side is less specific. HWiNFO only says it has “improved support of next-generation AMD CPUs and APUs.” Similar wording has appeared across several releases since mid-2024, including entries for “some next-generation AMD CPUs/APUs,” “next-generation AMD APUs,” and “next-generation AMD platforms.”
That means the new entry likely points to ongoing pre-launch enablement for unreleased AMD silicon, but HWiNFO does not name any codename in the 8.46 notes. So tying this specific update to Olympic Ridge, Medusa Point, or Medusa Halo is possible.
Intel gets an update too
Outside of CPU and GPU support, HWiNFO 8.46 also adds Intel Arc Pro B65 and B70, NVMe maximum power reporting, and DIMM SPD write-protection management. Still, the main story here is simple: NVIDIA’s RTX 50 stack now gets more complete reporting, and HWiNFO continues laying groundwork for AMD’s next CPU and APU wave.
