JEYI unveils flat PCIe to M.2 card for slots blocked by large GPUs

Reclaiming space hidden by large GPUs by adding an M.2 slot

JEYI has introduced a new ArcherX PCIe to M.2 expansion card with an unusual layout. Instead of placing the M.2 slot perpendicular to the motherboard like a typical adapter, the SSD sits parallel to the board. The design is meant to use the lower PCIe slot area that often ends up blocked by large multi-slot graphics cards.

The card appears aimed at compact systems where free slots still exist on the motherboard but cannot be used with standard add-in cards once a GPU is installed. In this case, the storage adapter stays low enough to fit into that otherwise wasted space.

According to the published specs, the ArcherX series uses two PCBs soldered together, supports PCIe Gen4, and remains backward compatible with PCIe Gen3. It will also be offered in both x1 and x4 versions, which suggests JEYI is targeting both basic storage expansion and higher-bandwidth use cases.

The company has only posted a video with the product; I couldn’t find it on their website yet. Coming soon to AliExpress, I guess?
