AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D return leak now includes retail box image

One day after leaker HXL said AMD was preparing a Ryzen 7 5800X3D “AM4 10 Years Anniversary Edition, ” the same source has now shared what appears to be the retail box for that SKU.
The earlier leak listed the same specifications as the original Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 4.5 GHz boost, 100 MB cache, and a 105W TDP. Those numbers match AMD’s official specs for the standard 5800X3D, so this still looks like a re-release with new packaging rather than a refreshed model with higher clocks or different silicon. HXL confirmed that this special SKU will, in fact, have the same specs and it’s not a new CPU, rather a special re-release.
Today HXL also shared a picture of the box, which tells us that it looks identical to the original box, bar the new 10th Edition logo.

10 years of AM4 socket
AM4 entered the market in 2016, and AMD recently said AM5 would follow the same long-support approach. As we covered in our earlier AM4 anniversary story, AMD is still using the old platform as proof that long socket lifecycles can keep older systems relevant for longer.
The Ryzen 7 5800X3D launched in 2022 (so only 4 years ago) as AMD’s first desktop X3D processor, and it remains one of the best-known AM4 gaming chips.

AMD has not confirmed a launch date, price, or regional availability for the AM4 anniversary edition yet. The good news is that the packaging appears to be carrying English words, which means it will not be a limited Chinese launch.
