KDE Plasma 6.7 saw a lot of exciting developments over the past two weeks including:
- Per-screen virtual desktops support was merged in being a sought after feature for more than 20 years.
- Support for setting the default calendar app via the System Settings' Default Application page.
- The System Monitor will now show the names of different GPUs in multi-GPU configurations rather than just a number.
- Frameworks 6.26 will remove the option dialog of whether to always open .desktop files in the text editor or to launch. Since if opting to always open .desktop files in t he text editor, it in turn makes such .desktop files un-launchable.
- KWin now supports the Wayland session management protocol. At long last, with Plasma 6.7 is Wayland session management protocol support in an effort for apps on Wayland to remember their sizes and positions and more after restarting the system.
