Intel Arc G3 for gaming handhelds announcement expected in a few weeks

Intel’s dedicated Panther Lake chips for gaming handhelds are now expected to make their first appearance at Computex, according to information obtained by VideoCardz. Intel already confirmed at CES 2026 that a custom chip for handhelds was coming, and the naming now appears to be settling on Arc G3 rather than the earlier mix of Core G3 and Arc G3 references we saw in earlier materials.
Arc G3 and G3 Extreme based on Panther Lake
As we reported earlier, the lineup consists of two parts, Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme . Current roadmap material ties those chips to a Q2 2026 window, with lifecycle coverage running through Q2 2027. That does not mean retail systems will ship in Q2, but it does fit with a Computex reveal for at least some first devices. This also means that Intel may launch a successor next year (G4, I guess?).
Equipped with Arc B390 and B370 graphics
The graphics naming also appears to have changed. Earlier references pointed to Arc B380 and B360 class integrated graphics, but the newer Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme tablets we have seen now uses B390 and B370 branding instead.
Intel already uses names for higher-end X-series parts and Arc B370 showing up on one of the lower H-series SKUs, which makes the revised handheld branding look more consistent with Intel’s wider Series 3 stack.
We also learned that the G3 power table still lists a 25W configurable base TDP, with maximum turbo figures of 65W and 80W.
Who may launch Arc G3 handled?
We also hear the silicon is ready and has already gone through internal testing. MSI and OneXPlayer are among the names expected to use these chips in the first wave, while there is still no public sign of ASUS or Lenovo joining the dedicated Arc G3 handheld effort. The company presented several brand logos during the ‘handhelds unleashed’ unveil at CES, seemingly confirming that GPD, Acer and even Microsoft are somehow involved.
Availability is not expected immediately after the announcement. If MSI Claw systems are any indicator, we may be talking about weeks if not months.
