User claims $12 bin store find turned out to be a working GeForce RTX 4060 Ti

Sealed PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Ti reportedly found for $12 at a liquidation bin store

A Reddit user from PC Master Race says he picked up a sealed PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB for just $12 from a local bin store, a type of liquidation outlet that often sells unsorted return and overstock goods at flat prices.

The user later posted a follow-up image showing the card installed and running in a PC, after many commenters assumed the box was empty or contained something else. He also confirmed this was the 8GB variant, not the 16GB model. The user has never shared any evidence of the real purchase, though.

Best Buy is still listing NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB at $399, which puts a $12 pickup at roughly 97% below that price. Even if the model is no longer the most attractive card in this segment, a working RTX 4060 Ti at that cost is well outside normal retail pricing.

While we have not covered this exact story on VideoCardz before, although we did report on other unusual Reddit finds, including DDR4 memory recovered from landfill and the RTX 4090 Ti prototype that allegedly surfaced in a junk bin. At least the second story is a good example of why these Reddit stories should always be taken with a grain of salt.
