ASUS launches ATS RTX 5070 V2 cards, drops ARGB tail lighting

ASUS launches new China-exclusive ATS “Megalodon” card

ASUS has listed two V2 versions of its ATS GeForce RTX 5070 12GB graphics card on its Chinese website, the ATS-RTX5070-12G-V2 and ATS-RTX5070-O12G-V2. The pages are now live, and ASUS also still shows the earlier ATS-RTX5070-12G and ATS-RTX5070-O12G models in the same family list.

ASUS continues to advertise a 2.5-slot triple-fan cooler, dual-ball-bearing fans, MaxContact direct-touch cooling, a vented backplate, automatic manufacturing, and a 304 stainless steel I/O bracket. ASUS rates the standard card at 2542 MHz, while the OC model is listed at 2587 MHz. Those are the same specs as the original model .

Basically the main difference between the original and the V2 is the removal of the ARGB grille lighting area at the tail of the card.

Based on ASUS’s public listings, this looks like a cosmetic refresh rather than a new cooler or board revision. ASUS has not provided pricing for this model yet, but just to clarify, ATS/Megalodon series was never sold outside China (as far as I know).
