Shuttle launches XB860G2 barebone mini PC with LGA1851 socket and PCIe 5.0 x16 slot

Shuttle has introduced the XPC Barebone XB860G2, a compact barebone PC based on Intel’s B860 chipset. The system uses an LGA1851 socket and is designed for Intel Core Ultra 200 series desktop processors, also known as Arrow Lake-S.
The XB860G2 is listed as a 4.7-liter system by Shuttle Europe. It supports processors rated up to 65W TDP and uses two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots. Memory support goes up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 in dual-channel mode.

The main feature is the PCIe expansion layout. Shuttle includes a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot through a 90-degree riser card, allowing a dual-slot discrete graphics card to be installed. The official product page lists supported card dimensions at up to 205 × 120 × 45 mm, with a 75W expansion card power limit.

A second PCIe 4.0 x1 slot is also available, but Shuttle notes that it depends on the configuration. It can be used when the system relies on integrated graphics or a single-slot graphics card. This makes the system suitable for low-profile GPU, capture card, networking, or edge AI configurations rather than high-power desktop graphics cards. If you are crafty enough, you can even put two cards into this system.
For storage, the XB860G2 has three M.2 2280 slots. Shuttle lists one PCIe 5.0 x4 slot and two PCIe 4.0-based slots. Display output includes HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.4a, with support for up to three displays. Networking is handled by dual Intel Ethernet, one 2.5GbE port and one 1GbE port.

The system uses a heatpipe cooling design with dual 60 mm fans and is rated for 24/7 operation. Shuttle ships the barebone with a 180W external power supply and a VESA mount.
The XB860G2 is available now through authorized distribution channels. The price was not announced.
