Noctua now offers 3D CAD models of its fans with modified impeller geometry

Noctua has published a dedicated page for 3D CAD models of its products, giving system designers, case makers, modders and visual artists access to reference files for mechanical design work.
The company says these CAD models are available through the download section of its website. They are intended to represent mounting dimensions and the external dimensions of supported Noctua products. This makes them useful for checking clearance, planning brackets, building case layouts or preparing product renders.
Not quite 1:1
There is one key limitation. Noctua says some details were changed to protect its intellectual property. The company specifically mentions fan impeller geometry, which means the public files should not be treated as exact engineering copies of the retail products.
“To protect our intellectual property, certain features, such as fan impeller geometries, have been slightly modified while remaining visually very close to the actual product.”
Noctua also warns that these files should not be used for performance simulations or manufacturing. Fan impellers and internal frame structures are not fully representative of the actual products, so the models are meant for reference, visualization and integration only.
Are you integrating Noctua fans into your engineering or other projects? We now offer public 3D CAD models of all our fans for download on our website, intended for mechanical design, renderings or animations: https://t.co/GLCTXDGxR5 pic.twitter.com/F3cddIH9Gr
