GIGABYTE celebrates 40th anniversary

GIGABYTE Technology was established on April 30, 1986, which means the company turns 40 this week. The Taiwanese hardware maker started with motherboards and later expanded into graphics cards, laptops, mini PCs, monitors, power supplies, and enterprise systems.
Gigabyte has already teased its new high-end GPU called RTX 5090 Infinity. This model is a one-of-a-kind enthusiast card based on Founder Edition PCB. Gigabyte has not yet launched this card, and given what we already know, there’s zero sign of it anywhere on the market. Gigabyte promises that its 40th anniversary will be marked with product releases, and the only thing that comes to mind is this GPU.

GIGABYTE announced the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY at CES on January 7. The card uses a separated PCB layout, a double flow-through cooling design, and an additional fan in the center of the cooler. Despite announcing this model 4 months ago, the card is still listed without official clocks.
ASUS is 3 years younger, but MSI will also mark 40 years in August
ASUS was founded in 1989. MSI is from the same 1986 generation as GIGABYTE, and its own brand history says it started with motherboards and add-on cards. MSI will mark 40 years later this year if using the commonly listed August 4, 1986 date.
