The company says GALAX is not ceasing operations. Palit also says the brand remains committed to development, production and support of its hardware. Its product roadmap will continue as planned.
KFA2 and GALAX here to stay
This clarification follows a notice posted by GALAX Brazil , which said Palit had taken over control and operation of the GALAX brand. Our previous coverage did not state that GALAX had stopped operating, nor did it claim that the GALAX brand was gone. At the time, there was no evidence for such a conclusion. Unfortunately, some media friends decided to go as far as to claim that the company is gone, which was factually wrong. The company says the change is part of a planned global initiative to integrate brand management under Palit Group.
Palit says GALAX has been part of Palit Group since 2007. The management of GALAX, KFA2 and HOF, short for Hall of Fame, is now being centralized at Palit Group headquarters. The company says this will improve global brand coordination, supply chain planning and R&D work across its GPU brands.
This means the GALAX, KFA2 and HOF names will continue . The change appears to be an internal management consolidation rather than a brand shutdown. For customers, the main change may be support routing in affected regions, such as Brazil, where local GALAX channels have already redirected users to Palit contacts.
