Microsoft PowerToys 0.99 adds Linux-style window controls to Windows 11

Microsoft has released PowerToys 0.99.0 with two new preview utilities for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The update adds Grab And Move for window handling and Power Display for monitor controls.
Grab And Move brings a Linux desktop-style behavior to Windows. Users can hold Alt and left-click anywhere inside a window to move it. Alt and right-click can be used to resize the window without grabbing the edge or corner.
Microsoft says the feature is intended for large monitors and cases where windows move partly off-screen. The modifier key can also be changed from Alt to Win, which should help users who already rely on Alt for other shortcuts.

Finally, some great tools for display handling
Power Display adds a system tray flyout for monitor controls. When supported by the display, users can adjust brightness, contrast, volume and color profiles without using the physical monitor buttons. Microsoft also lists support for color temperature and input source control in its PowerToys documentation.
The utility can save custom display profiles and switch between them. It also integrates with Light Switch, allowing monitor settings to change when Windows switches between light and dark themes.
PowerToys 0.99.0 also includes updates for Command Palette, Dock, Keyboard Manager, ZoomIt and Image Resizer. ZoomIt now supports scrolling screenshots, while Image Resizer has moved from WPF to WinUI 3.
I can’t wait to try the power state function , some monitors need manual turn off to restore signal. This will be such a game changer for my multi-monitor use.
