Mitsubishi Motors eyes 2028 to begin making hybrids in Japan

TOKYO -- Mitsubishi Motors plans to begin producing and selling hybrid vehicles in Japan as early as 2028, aiming to tap into the popular sector amid sluggish sales of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.
