NVIDIA updates GeForce NOW terms after Install-to-Play complaint
NVIDIA is updating the terms of service for GeForce NOW after a ComputerBase reader complaint about the cloud gaming service’s 100-hour monthly playtime limit .
Install-to-Play was added to GeForce NOW in 2025. It lets Performance and Ultimate members install supported Steam games that are not preinstalled by NVIDIA. NVIDIA currently lists more than 2,300 supported Steam titles for this feature and includes 100 GB of single-session cloud storage. Paid persistent storage options are also available.
GeForce NOW Performance and Ultimate memberships include 100 hours of monthly premium playtime. NVIDIA also allows up to 15 unused hours to roll over to the next month. After the limit is reached, users can buy more time in 15-hour blocks or continue playing with free-tier features until the monthly reset.

This means lower streaming limits after the cap. The account switches to the free-tier experience, so users lose premium features such as higher performance tiers, higher resolutions, and longer session lengths. However, Install-to-Play access remains available under the active paid subscription.
Premium GeForce NOW members who reach the monthly playtime limit of 100 hours will retain access to their Install-to-Play titles as part of their active membership, without having to purchase additional hours or storage. These titles will run with the same user experience as free users (Free Membership tier); however, access to their own and supported games will still be available.

The change applies to Performance and Ultimate members. Once those users reach their monthly premium playtime limit, they will still be able to access Install-to-Play titles as long as their paid membership remains active . Previously, those games were no longer available after the premium hour pool was used up, even when users had paid for extra persistent storage.
ComputerBase reports that NVIDIA will apply the updated wording on April 30.
