Epic Games Store offers Hogwarts Legacy for free again
Warner Bros. Games and Epic Games Store are offering Hogwarts Legacy as a free PC game for a limited time. The base game is listed with a 100% discount, reducing the regular $59.99 price to free. The offer is available through the Epic Games Store until May 3, 2026. Once claimed, the game should remain tied to the user’s Epic account, as with other free game promotions on the platform.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG developed by Avalanche Software. The game is set in the 1800s and follows a student at Hogwarts who becomes involved in a story connected to ancient magic.
The PC version includes spell combat, potion brewing, creature taming and character progression. Players can also explore Hogwarts, Hogsmeade and surrounding areas outside the castle.
The game was last listed on EGS for free in December 2025, following the Game Awards, so this is not the first time. This new offer appears to be part of Epic’s 25 years of Harry Potter promotion.

The free offer applies to the standard edition. Epic is also listing the Digital Deluxe Edition, but users only need the base game entry to claim the free copy.
As shown in the article header, NVIDIA recently used this game to promote its DLSS 5 technology. It’s hard to say whether that was a positive or negative feedback for NVIDIA.
