Unreleased AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D appears in PassMark with 16 cores

PassMark has added the AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D 16-Core to its CPU database. This is an unreleased Ryzen PRO processor that has not been announced by AMD. But this is not the first time this SKU has appeared. We previously covered a shipping manifest entry for the same processor, which listed it as a 16-core Ryzen PRO model with 3D V-Cache.

The PassMark listing confirms 16 cores and 32 threads . It does not list the socket, base clock, boost clock or TDP. The CPU scored 65,111 points in CPU Mark and 4,614 points in single-thread performance. For comparison, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D is listed at 70,201 points and 4,743 points . This puts the PRO model around 7.3% behind in multi-thread and 2.7% behind in single-thread testing.

The result is based on only three samples , so the margin for error is high. The score is close to the consumer Ryzen 9 9950X3D, which is AMD’s 16-core AM5 X3D part with 128MB of L3 cache and a 170W TDP.

The Ryzen PRO branding points to business desktops and OEM workstation systems rather than the regular consumer market. AMD’s official Ryzen PRO 9000 desktop lineup currently tops out at the 12-core Ryzen 9 PRO 9945, so the 9965X3D would sit above the announced range if it ships.

AMD has not yet confirmed this SKU.
