AMD Ryzen AI 5 435G appears with 6 cores and Radeon 840M graphics
First benchmark entry suggests AMD’s Ryzen AI 400 desktop APUs are moving closer to availability.

A first benchmark entry for AMD’s Ryzen AI 5 435G has appeared in the Geekbench database. The processor was tested on a JGINYUE B850M Snow Dream WIFI motherboard with 32GB of memory and Windows 11.
This is the non-PRO version of the Ryzen AI 5 435G. AMD also lists a Ryzen AI 5 PRO 435G with the same public specifications, but the Geekbench entry clearly identifies the processor as AMD Ryzen AI 5 435G w/ Radeon 840M .

The Ryzen AI 5 435G is part of AMD’s Ryzen AI 400 desktop series for AM5 systems. AMD lists this SKU with 6 cores, 12 threads, a 2.0 GHz base clock, up to 4.5 GHz boost, 14MB of L2+L3 cache and a 65W TDP. The processor also features Radeon 840M integrated graphics with 4 RDNA 3.5 compute units and an XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS. AMD said Ryzen AI 400 desktop systems are expected from OEMs starting in Q2 2026.

Performance close to Ryzen 5 8600G
The Geekbench 6.5.0 result shows 2620 points in single-core and 10594 points in multi-core . The entry reports a maximum frequency of 4094 MHz during the run, which is below AMD’s official 4.5 GHz boost specification. Geekbench also reports two CPU clusters, one with 2 cores and another with 4 cores.
Compared with Geekbench’s public averages, the Ryzen AI 5 435G scores slightly above the Ryzen 5 8600G in single-core performance, 2620 points versus 2493 points. Multi-core performance is close, 10594 points versus 10857 points. Against the Ryzen 7 8700G, the new 6-core APU is close in single-core performance, but trails in multi-core performance, where the 8-core 8700G averages 13478 points.
